SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The No. 10 Northeast Community College men’s golf team traveled to Sioux City, Iowa Thursday and Friday to compete in the Briar Cliff Spring Match Play at Green Valley Golf Course. As the No. 2 seed, the Hawks downed No. 7 Briar Cliff University and No. 3 Morningside University on Thursday before topping No. 1 Northwestern College on Friday to win the event and bring a trophy back to Norfolk.

GOODYEAR, Ariz. – The No. 11 Northeast Community College men’s golf team traveled to Goodyear, Arizona last Monday and Tuesday for the Maverick Desert Classic at Palm Valley Golf Club. The Hawks finished tenth as a team while Luke Bonser (Durham, England) finished tied for second place as an individual in the two-day event.

NORFOLK, Neb. – The No. 10 Northeast Community College men’s golf team finds themselves ranked tenth in the nation after a solid fall season and is ready to hit the ground running for their spring campaign. AMES, Iowa – Northeast Community College student-athletes have tied an athletic program school record during the fall semester for their efforts in the classroom. There were 114 student-athletes who were named to Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Fall Academic All-Region Teams.

HASTINGS, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men’s golf team traveled on Friday and Saturday to Hastings, Nebraska to compete in the Nebraska Intercollegiate at Lochland Country Club. The Hawks finished in second place as a team in the 10-squad field.

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men’s golf team traveled Monday and Tuesday to the Blue River Classic at Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Hawks finished third as a squad in the 16 team and 54-hole event.

YANKTON, S.D. – The Northeast Community College men’s golf team opened their season with the Mount Marty Invitational in Yankton, South Dakota on Monday and Tuesday. Freshman Luke Bonser (Durham, England) won the two-day event by three strokes while the Hawks finished second as a team in the tournament.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Sixty-six Northeast Community College student-athletes have been named to the various National Junior College Athletic Association All-Academic teams for their work in the classroom this year, it was announced by the NJCAA Thursday.

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Sixteen Northeast Community College student-athletes were named to the Academic All-District Team for their combined performances in their sport and in the classroom, it was announced by College Sports Communicators Tuesday. The 16 honorees are a Northeast school record, topping the previous mark of 14 set last academic year. All 16 All-District Team members are now CSC Academic All-America finalists, which will be voted on by CSC members and announced on July 16 for the Women’s Academic All-America Team and July 17 for the Men’s Academic All-America Team.

AMES, Iowa – Northeast Community College had 98 student-athletes NAMED TO THE Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Academic All-Region Teams, it was announced by the conference Thursday.

WATERLOO, Iowa – The Northeast Community College men’s golf team competed against the top teams in the region Monday and Tuesday as part of the North Plains District Championship in Waterloo, Iowa. The Hawks placed fifth in the event in what was their final tournament of the season.

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men’s golf team headed to Hilcrest Country Club Saturday and Sunday for the Howl at the Hill tournament in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Hawks finished seventh as a team in the two-day event.

WATERLOO, Iowa – The Northeast Community College golf team traveled to Gates Park Golf Course in Waterloo, Iowa for the North Central Spring Preview Monday. The Hawks finished in a tie for fourth place in the 18-hole event.

NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men’s golf team is prepared to tee the ball up in their first golf tournament of the season on Thursday at Saddlebrook Golf Resort in Wesley Chapel, Florida as part of the Saddlebrook Spring Kickoff. Ty Heimes is in his second season as the head coach of the Hawks and is itching with anticipation to see the hard work his squad has put in over the offseason translate to the course.
