NOMINATIONS ARE BEING SOUGHT FOR THE 2023 NORTHEAST ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME

PURPOSE

To recognize and honor outstanding performance and achievement of individuals and/or teams who have distinguished themselves in intercollegiate athletics at Northeast Community College. 

CRITERIA

The Athletic Hall of Fame is comprised of former intercollegiate student-athletes, teams, coaches and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Northeast Athletics.  Nominees, after completing their time at Northeast Community College, need to have continued exemplifying the leadership, service, and distinction of the College.

 Student-Athlete Criteria:

  • Shall be eligible for nomination five (5) full academic years after completing his/her athletic eligibility at the College
  • Must have attended Northeast for at least one (1) full academic year (two semesters)
  • Must have left Northeast in good academic standing.
  • Must have represented Northeast Athletics in a positive fashion, and be of good character and reputation
  • Must have had a significant impact in his/her sport, considering the following:
    • Named All-American
    • Won an individual national championship or played on a national championship team
    • Participated on a national tournament qualifying team
    • Received All-Region, All-Conference or All-National Tournament Team honors
    • Individual record holder at the institution
    • Special contributions to society outside of athletics

Team Criteria:

  • Shall be eligible for nomination five (5) years after the season of competition
  • Won a national championship
  • Completed an undefeated regular season
  • Other significant criteria or contributing factors

Coach:

  • Shall be eligible for nomination five (5) years after leaving the institution
  • Be of good character and reputation coaching five (5) or more years at Northeast
  • Possess a distinguished record
  • Recipient of regional or national awards

Contributor(s):

  • Have made significant contributions of time, expertise, and/or resources to Northeast Athletics, enhancing the experience of student-athletes.
  • Be of good character and reputation and exemplify the leadership, service, and distinction that the College seeks to promote
