COLUMBUS, Neb. – Ty Heimes (Battle Creek, Neb.) placed second for the Northeast Community College golf team on Wednesday, propelling the Hawks to a first-place finish at the Central Raider Classic in Columbus, Neb.

Competing individually, Riley Keuhn (Hartington, Neb.) carded a 77, while Brady Esch (McCook, Neb.) hit a 79. Santiago Valdes (Merida, Mexico) followed with an 80.
"This was a really big win for us," head coach Wes Bernt said. "Ty has been a great leader for us and it was good to see him play well. Rockney has been practicing a lot, so it's good to see the hard work pay off in his first top-10 finish."
The Hawks hit the greens at the Central Community College Triangular on Sept. 24 at 11 a.m. at the Elks Country Club in Columbus.
