SCHOOL RECORD 16 NORTHEAST STUDENT-ATHLETES NAMED TO ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT TEAMS
GREENWOOD, Ind. – Sixteen Northeast Community College student-athletes were named to the Academic All-District Team for their combined performances in their sport and in the classroom, it was announced by College Sports Communicators Tuesday. The 16 honorees are a Northeast school record, topping the previous mark of 14 set last academic year. All 16 All-District Team members are now CSC Academic All-America finalists, which will be voted on by CSC members and announced on July 16 for the Women’s Academic All-America Team and July 17 for the Men’s Academic All-America Team.

The 16 honorees are a Northeast school record, topping the previous mark of 14 set last academic year. All 16 All-District Team members are now CSC Academic All-America finalists, which will be voted on by CSC members and announced on July 16 for the Women's Academic All-America Team and July 17 for the Men's Academic All-America Team.
To be nominated, student-athletes were required to be a sophomore academically and athletically, have a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative GPA and were required to compete in 90% of their team's total games played or must have started in 66% of their team's total games. For baseball and softball pitchers, student-athletes were required to pitch 25-plus innings or appear in 17 games as a pitcher.

Baseball: Aidan Brainard (Littleton, Colo.), Cade Grevengoed (West Des Moines, Iowa), Nick Vilims (Evergreen, Colo.), Rusty Wortman (Gretna, Neb.)
Men's Golf: Tanner Walling (Wayne, Neb.)
Men's Basketball: Ben Hammond (Norfolk, Neb.)
Men's Soccer: Sergio Aznar (Zaragoza, Spain), Luca Baltzer (Oberstenfeld, Germany), Jeevan Purewal (Wolverhampton, England), Teun van der Donk (Rotterdam, Netherlands)
Softball: Ahdriana Medrano (Grand Island, Neb.)
Volleyball: Kiara Krusemark (Wayne, Neb.), Sydney Redden (Wayne, Neb.)
Women's Soccer: Jaidyn Cavalieri (Castle Rock, Colo.), Hannah Thornell (Castle Rock, Colo.), Aidyn Woodall (Castle Rock, Colo.)
