HAWKS TAKE THIRD TUESDAY IN MCCOOK
The Northeast Community College men’s golf team traveled to McCook, Nebraska Tuesday to compete in the All-Nebraska JUCO Challenge at Heritage Hills Golf Course. The Hawks finished third as a team in the competition.
MCCOOK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men's golf team traveled to McCook, Nebraska Tuesday to compete in the All-Nebraska JUCO Challenge at Heritage Hills Golf Course. The Hawks finished third as a team in the competition.
Santiago Valdes (Mexico City, Mexico) led the charge for Northeast as he finished tied for 10th-place after the 18-hole tournament. Emmet Hansen (Brandon, S.D.) was just one stroke off of Valdes as he left the course in a tie for 13th-place. The Hawks faced treacherous conditions all day and will now head to their indoor golf facility for a few days to fine-tune their game for their next event.

HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Northeast head men's golf coach Ty Heimes on the tournament as a whole:
"The guys hung in there today in tough conditions," Heimes said. "We have a couple guys struggling a little right now that we need to get going."
Heimes on how his team can continue to improve:
"We just have to get back to work," Heimes said. "We need to have a good next 10 days of practice and tidy up some things."

The Hawks will stay in the state of Nebraska as they will battle in the Doane Spring Invite starting at 1 p.m. Friday, March 24 in Eagle, Nebraska.
