HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head men's golf coach Ty Heimes' overall thoughts on the two days:
"We really struggled in the first round," Heimes said. "We played much better in Round 2, but we just dug ourselves in too big of a hole in Round 1. I'm proud of how they competed in the tough conditions this weekend."
Heimes on the focus before the next time out:
"We have another great opportunity next weekend at a tough tournament," Heimes said. "We need to have a good couple of days of practice and tighten up our short game."
UP NEXT:
The Hawks will compete in the home event for fellow Region 11 member Iowa Central Community College in the Iowa Central Spring Invitational at Fort Dodge Country Club in Fort Dodge, Iowa starting at 11 a.m. Friday.
