Santos scores five goals in win over Scott

BETTENDORF, Iowa – Hugo Santos (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) guided the Northeast community College men's soccer team to victory on Saturday.

Santos tallied five goals as the Hawks (1-4, 1-4 ICCAC) topped Scott Community College, 7-4 in ICCAC action in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Santos tallied his fist two goals in the first half, while Breno Neves (Brasilia, Brazil) added a goal in the 25^th-minute. Conner Bickford (Arvada, Colo.) got the Hawks on the scoreboard in the 49^th-minute, while Santos closed on the Hawks' scoring with goals in the 57^th, 77^th and 83^rd-minute. The Hawks outshot Scott, 17-11.

"It felt really good for the guys to get on the scoring side of things," head coach Chad Miller said. "We have been missing opportunities, but today the guys did a great job of creating and finding each other in the attack."

The Hawks welcome Dakota County Technical College for a 12:30 match on Monday at Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk.
