Northeast (14-5-2, 7-1-1 ICCAC) has won the Region 11 Tournament Championship each of the last four seasons and were searching for another birth in the title game. The RedTails were able to put in a goal off a corner kick at the end of the first half in what proved to be the difference maker in the match. The Hawks controlled the ball throughout much of the second half but were unable to find the back of the net to conclude a season where Northeast remained ranked in the nation polls throughout the entire year.
HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head Women's Soccer Coach Chad Miller on the match and what this team has meant to him:
"It's tough to end a season that way, and I wish more than anything this group could have another chance," Miller said. "The sophomores were a part of last season's winningest year in the history of the program, so they will always have a legacy here. The season was our toughest schedule, and they still managed to make a great year out of it. A lot of memories will be left behind, and I appreciate what they have done here."
THANK YOU, FANS:
Northeast Athletics would like to extend a huge thank you to our sophomores, the families of our student-athletes, our amazing fans and all our supporters for making this year such a memorable one! We can't wait to see you in 2025!
