CHETCUTI SCORES TWICE AND ADDS AN ASSIST AS NO. 12 HAWKS BLANK BLACKHAWKS
BURLINGTON, Iowa – The No. 12 Northeast Community College women’s soccer team traveled Saturday to Burlington, Iowa for a conference matchup with Southeastern Community College. The Hawks topped the Blackhawks by a final score of 6-0 to secure their sixth shutout of the season.
BURLINGTON, Iowa – The No. 12 Northeast Community College women's soccer team traveled Saturday to Burlington, Iowa for a conference matchup with Southeastern Community College. The Hawks topped the Blackhawks by a final score of 6-0 to secure their sixth shutout of the season.
Northeast (10-4-2, 4-1-1 ICCAC) was jumpstarted by Helena Chetcuti (Melbourne, Australia) as the freshman scored first for the Hawks, later put in another goal and recorded an assist to tally five points during the afternoon. Every scorer for the Hawks during the match were freshmen as Hailey Holbrook (Broomfield, Colo.) twice, Olivia McDonald (Whitianga, New Zealand) and Addison Osilka (Fort Collins, Colo.) all put a goal on the board for Northeast as the Hawks will now host two matches on their home turf this week.

"I like how we moved the ball around and I like how our lines did much better staying connected," Miller said. "Those are two things we needed to do better, and I felt like we did that."
Miller on the important matchup for playoff seeding next against Western Iowa Tech:
"WIT will be a tough one," Miller said. "I hope we can keep improving and making each other better. It will be a battle, so we have to come ready to play."
UP NEXT:
The Hawks will host Western Iowa Tech Community College at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Norfolk Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk. Fans are encouraged to wear red to the match.
