CASTRO AND FISSENDEN SCORE FIRST-CAREER GOALS AS NO. 5 HAWKS TOP COMETS
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The No. 5 Northeast Community College women’s soccer team took on Western Iowa Tech Community College Wednesday in Sioux City, Iowa in the first-ever meeting of the two schools. The Hawks scored six goals from six different players to take a 6-0 victory.

Northeast (10-0, 2-0 ICCAC) put together yet another clean sheet in the showdown, which is a feat that they have now accomplished in five of their 10 games so far this season. Freshman Ezzy Castro (Kearney, Neb.) and sophomore Ursula Fissenden (Kent, England) both scored for the first time in a Hawks uniform in the matchup as defenders to push Northeast to a perfect 10-0 start to the campaign.

Head Women's Soccer Coach Chad Miller on what went right for Northeast today:
"This group is very unselfish, so it is great seeing them spread the ball around," Miller said. "I really enjoyed seeing some of the girls taking advantage of opportunities they had."
Miller on facing the only conference team to have beaten them last year next:
"Hawkeye will be a good challenge," Miller said. "They always play tough. I felt like we did some good things today so I am excited to see if we can continue that going forward."
