UNION, Mo. – The No. 5 Northeast Community College women’s soccer team was again traveling Wednesday for a battle with East Central College in Union, Missouri. The Hawks dominated the Falcons by a final score of 6-1 to stay unbeaten on the year.

Northeast (8-0) found the back of the net early and often in the contest as Lexie Lilienthal (Grand Island, Neb.) twice, Chelsea Dolbel (Devonport, Australia), Aidyn Woodall (Castle Rock, Colo.) twice and Leilani Alvira (Wahiawa, Hawaii) all tallied goals in the showdown. The Hawks will now enter conference play having perfectly navigated their non-conference slate to the tune of starting the year with eight-straight victories.

Head Women's Soccer Coach Chad Miller on Lexie Lilienthal, Chelsea Dolbel and Leilani Alvira all scoring their first goals of the season Wednesday:
"It was great to see them getting opportunities and scoring," Miller said. "Having that kind of depth is what can really help us down the road."
Miller on a new season starting Saturday with the beginning of conference play:
"That's the biggest message going into conference play," Miller said. "The season starts all over. The girls did a great job in the first eight games, but now with conference play starting it all starts over for them!"

The Hawks will play at home to begin ICCAC play as they will welcome North Iowa Area Community College for a matchup at 1 p.m. Saturday at Norfolk Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk.
