NO. 7 NORTHEAST SUFFERS FIRST LOSS OF THE SEASON TO NO. 10 IOWA WESTERN
COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa – The No. 7 Northeast Community College women’s soccer team was on the road again Wednesday to face NJCAA Division I No. 10 Iowa Western Community College. The Reivers were victorious in the match by a final score of 5-1.

The Hawks (5-1-1) dropped their first game of the season but without a doubt will be excited to sleep in their own beds for a few days as their next two games will be played at home.

HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head men's soccer coach Chad Miller on his team suffering their first loss of the season:
"Iowa Western is one of the best teams in the nation," Miller said. "Despite the score, I felt we played well. Much better than in our last couple games. We will talk about the good and focus on fixing our mistakes. I want the girls to keep positive and use the experience as a building block."
Miller on his team having their home opener Saturday:
"It will be nice to be home this Saturday," Miller said. "At home, on our own field. We have spent a lot of time on the road, so they are all looking forward to playing where we know best!"
UP NEXT:
Northeast will be home for the first team this season against Indian Hills Community College at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk.
