Northeast women unable to find offensive spark against Mount Marty JV

NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College women's basketball team led by two points at halftime, but were held to only 20 points in the second half against Mount Marty University JV on Wednesday night, falling 51-38 at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.

The Lancers came out firing on all cylinders in the third quarter, outscoring the Hawks (1-3) 20-13, before holding the Hawks to just seven points in the fourth quarter. Ashley Hassett (Hershey, Neb.) recorded a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds, while Molly Davis (Yutan, Neb.) had 10 points and eight boards. Autumn Dickmander (Brule, Neb.) chipped in seven points, five rebounds and five steals.

The Hawks hit the road to face Southeast Community College at 2 p.m. Saturday in Beatrice, Neb.
