Hawks pick up big road win on Tuesday
CONCORDIA, Kan. – Down by two points at halftime, the Northeast Community College women’s basketball team rallied back to defeat Cloud County Community College 77-68 on Tuesday night in non-conference play at the Arley Bryant Gymnasium in Concordia, Kan.

The Hawks (2-0) managed to out-score Cloud County in the final two quarters to by five and six points, respectively.
Kyla Moore (Norfolk, Neb.) had another dominant night, recording 22 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals. Beth Matas (Girona, Spain) added 21 points, seven assists and four rebounds.
Macey Kulhanek (Howells, Neb.) pitched in 11 points and four steals in 19 minutes, while Emina Hadzihusejnovic (Mostar, Bosnia) had 10 points and seven boards.
The Hawks shot 41 percent from the field and 81 percent from the charity stripe.
Northeast is back in action on Friday at 6 p.m. against Iowa Lakes Community College in the Hawks Classic at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk. The Hawks will battle Iowa Central Community College at 4 p.m. Saturday.
