Hawks dominate Southeast in non-conference action at home

The Hawks (5-3) managed to take an early 13-point lead at the end of the first quarter and ultimately taking a 17-point lead into halftime.
Northeast came out of the break firing on all cylinders to record 24 points in the third quarter and 28 points in the fourth to put the game out of reach for the Storm.
Northeast held the Storm to just 28 percent shooting from the field. The Hawks shot 42 percent from the field and 36 percent from beyond the arc. Northeast out-rebounded Southeast 52-25, led by Kori Fischer (South Sioux City, Neb.) with 10 boards.
Irene Sanz (Vilassar de Mar, Spain), Macey Kulhanek (Howells, Neb.), Blake Mann (Burwell, Neb.) and Teagan Pompa (Elgin, Ill.) all chipped in nine points each in the win.
The Hawks hit the road on Monday, taking on Northeastern Junior College at 4 p.m., in Sterling, Colo.
