HAWKS COMPETE IN FOUR-GAME SET WITH IOWA CENTRAL
FORT DODGE, Iowa – The Northeast Community College softball team traveled to Fort Dodge, Iowa for a series with Iowa Central Community College on Sunday and Monday. The Tritons took all four showdowns by scores of 10-2, 8-0, 11-2 and 14-2.

FORT DODGE, Iowa – The Northeast Community College softball team traveled to Fort Dodge, Iowa for a series with Iowa Central Community College on Sunday and Monday. The Tritons took all four showdowns by scores of 10-2, 8-0, 11-2 and 14-2.
The Hawks (11-29, 0-20 ICCAC) have just six matchups left in the regular season and will wrap their home slate in a duel with North Platte Community College on Wednesday. Northeast swept the Knights 15-10 and 11-1 back on March 28. The Hawks will then head to Iowa Falls, Iowa over the weekend to take on Ellsworth Community College before finding out their postseason destination in the Region 11 Tournament that will begin on May 5.
HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head softball coach Iris Woodhead on the weekend and being back at home Wednesday:
"I was really pleased with our outfield," Woodhead said. "Mia (Eickhoff) looked really good in center. Iowa Central was hot off a prior good weekend and they were able to continue off of that. What they did is exactly what we are looking to do this week. Gain some momentum on Wednesday so we can go into the weekend hot and into the region tournament hot. A lot of the season is still left to play for us."

Northeast will battle North Platte Community College in their final home series of the season in a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ta-Ha-Zouka Park in Norfolk.
