Iowa Central topples Northeast softball
FORT DODGE, Iowa – The Northeast Community College softball team hit the road on Sunday for an ICCAC match-up, falling 20-12 and 8-0 in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

FORT DODGE, Iowa – The Northeast Community College softball team hit the road on Sunday for an ICCAC match-up, falling 20-12 and 8-0 in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Despite scoring 12 runs in the first game of the doubleheader, the Hawks (3-39, 1-21 ICCAC) were unable to keep Iowa Central off the scoreboard.
Reagan Reicks (Dunlap, Iowa) had one of her best games in a Hawks uniform, going 2-for-3 at the plate, with two runs and three RBI. Inese Uribe (Riverside, Calif.) was 2-for-3 with three RBI and a run, while Rosario Garcia (Northglenn, Colo.) added two hits.
Madison McKewon (Springfield, Neb.) was dealt the loss, tossing two innings, allowing eight earned runs off 13 hits.
The Northeast bats went silent in the second game of the doubleheader as the Hawks mustered only four hits.
Jacqueline Denning (Sacramento, Calif.) had two hits in the loss.
McKewon also took the loss, throwing two innings, while giving up four earned runs off eight hits.
The Hawks battle Ellsworth Community College at 1 and 3 p.m. tomorrow in Iowa Falls, Iowa.
