COLUMBUS, Neb. – The No. 3 Northeast Community College men’s soccer team traveled to Columbus, Nebraska for their second in-state showdown in three days against Central Community College after downing Southeast Community College on Saturday. The Hawks recorded their third shutout in three games and topped the Raiders by a final score of 4-0.

The Hawks recorded their third shutout in three games and topped the Raiders by a final score of 4-0.
Northeast (6-1) jumped on Central early with a goal from Edouard Nys (Dottignies, Belgium) and never looked back in the matchup of two Nebraskan squads. Luca Rosen (London, England) added his eighth goal of the season later in the half and Lewis Rourke (Nottingham, England) blasted his seventh goal of the year in the second half to give the Hawks a larger advantage on the scoreboard. Nys later added another goal on a penalty kick as Northeast downed the Raiders for the fourth-consecutive year.

"Highway 81 bleeds red!" Potter said. "I loved our response from the start today. It was something we have been lacking the last few games and it was great to see the guys react in that way!"
Potter on returning to the road and facing another squad in the NJCAA polls next:
"Another massive game on Friday against another ranked opponent!" Potter said. "We can't wait to get back to Illinois!"
