Northeast (9-0) and the Falcons both went scoreless in the first half and left the scoreboard blank until Edouard Nys (Dottignies, Belgium) assisted Luca Rosen (London, England) to give the Hawks the edge in the 50th minute. Lewis Rourke (Nottingham, England) went on to add another goal just 13 minutes later and the Northeast defense held up strong to ensure a 9-0 beginning to the campaign.

Assistant Men's Soccer Coach Felipe Santos on today as a whole:
"Winning on the road against a tough opponent is a big deal for us," Santos said. "It proves we can handle pressure. Even though we won 2-1, we know we missed some chances and need to improve some things to get better before our next game on Saturday."
Santos on beginning ICCAC play at home in just a few days:
"Entering conference play is truly exciting for us, especially when we get to play our conference opener at home," Santos said. "The support from our fans at home is a significant advantage and it motivates us to keep doing great things on the field!"

The Hawks will begin their conference slate at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Norfolk Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk in a duel with North Iowa Area Community College.
