NO. 8 NORTHEAST MEN’S SOCCER TAKES VICTORY OVER ANOTHER NJCAA DIVISION I OPPONENT
NORFOLK, Neb. – The No. 8 Northeast Community College men’s soccer team faced their fourth NJCAA Division I opponent in as many games Wednesday as they battled Marshalltown Community College. The Hawks came away with a 4-2 victory to move to 10-1 on the season.
NORFOLK, Neb. – The No. 8 Northeast Community College men's soccer team faced their fourth NJCAA Division I opponent in as many games Wednesday as they battled Marshalltown Community College. The Hawks came away with a 4-2 victory to move to 10-1 on the season.
The Hawks jumped out to an impressive 3-0 lead in the contest and were able to put on yet another performance where they controlled much of the game.
The men's soccer program has now defeated three different NJCAA Division I foes this season, which is a new record for them as they had previously only beaten one such team before this year.

Head men's soccer coach Adam Potter's takeaways from today's match:
"Overall, we did enough to get the job done," Potter said. "Even though we were not at our best, we still were good enough to get the job done. That's a sign of a good team."
Potter on the upcoming matchup with NJCAA Division I No. 9 Iowa Lakes:
"Iowa Lakes will be a fun challenge for us," Potter said. "Another opportunity for us to make history against a top D1 side! These are the games that will help shape us for the big games ahead in conference play!"

It won't get any easier for the Hawks as they will now face NJCAA Division I No. 9 Iowa Lakes Community College at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk.
