Hawks blanked by Indian Hills on Sunday
OTTUMWA, Iowa – The Northeast Community College men’s soccer team outshot Indian Hills Community College on Sunday, but couldn’t come away with the victory, falling 2-0 on Sunday in Ottumwa, Iowa.

OTTUMWA, Iowa – The Northeast Community College men's soccer team outshot Indian Hills Community College on Sunday, but couldn't come away with the victory, falling 2-0 on Sunday in Ottumwa, Iowa.
The Hawks (1-8) trailed by just a goal at halftime, but couldn't a goal when it needed to the most.
"I feel this was our best and most complete game we have played yet," head coach Chad Miller said. "We fixed some things that were causing us problems before and we played a much more disciplined game. We hit the crossbar and post, but couldn't find the back of the net. We gave up a counterattack goal in the final minute of play, other than that I thought we played a good game."
Jyson Breitbarth (Hilo, Hawaii) tallied five saves for the Hawks.
The Hawks square off with Iowa Lakes Community College at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Estherville, Iowa.
