NO. 4 DMACC TOPS NORTHEAST MONDAY NIGHT IN IOWA
BOONE, Iowa – The Northeast Community College men’s basketball team traveled to Boone, Iowa for a matchup with No. 4 Des Moines Iowa Community College Monday night. The Bears took the contest by a final score of 123-70.

Northeast (6-10, 2-7 ICCAC) was led in scoring by Jacob Martin (Omaha, Neb.) with 14 points as the freshman is now averaging 10.3 points per game off the bench for the Hawks. DMACC's shooting in the showdown proved to be tough to overcome as the Bears shot 56.7-percent from the field and made 17 3-pointers in the clash. It will be a quick turnaround for Northeast as they will head back on the road to face another ranked team in No. 12 Iowa Lakes on Wednesday night.

Head Men's Basketball Coach Josh Clark on the battle tonight:
"DMACC shot lights out," Clark said. "Credit to them. Our inexperience showed tonight, but with that we gained valuable lessons of who we want to become."
Clark on his team putting this one behind them heading to No. 12 Iowa Lakes on Wednesday:
"There are no nights off in this conference," Clark said. "Men's basketball in this conference is so competitive top to bottom. Guys have to come ready to play."

The Hawks will travel to take on No. 12 Iowa Lakes Community College at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Estherville, Iowa.
