NORFOLK, Neb. – All the pieces fit together perfectly for the Northeast Community College men’s basketball team Monday night at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk, as they triumphed to a 72-57 victory over Southwestern Community College.
NORFOLK, Neb. – All the pieces fit together perfectly for the Northeast Community College men's basketball team Monday night at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk, as they triumphed to a 72-57 victory over Southwestern Community College.
The Hawks (5-21, 1-14 ICCAC) jumped out to a ferocious 14-2 lead in the first half and led 36-21 at halftime. The Spartans could never muster much of a run in the second half, as the Hawks were able to cruise to an ICCAC home victory.
The Spartans never led Monday night, while the Hawks put together one of their best all-around games of the season to gain some momentum as the postseason nears.
Collin Storr (Nassau, Bahamas) and Emaniel Alexandre (Nassau, Bahamas) both notched double-doubles, and Alexandre was just three assists away from a triple-double. The Hawks as a team shot 41.7 percent from the three-point line.

The Hawks will play in front of their home fans during the regular season for the final time against Iowa Central Community College. The game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.
