The Hawks (1-2) routed the Lancers, 121-67 for their first win of the season at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.
The Hawks quickly jumped out to a 20-point lead and never looked back after taking a 64-28 lead at halftime. The Hawks' defensive efforts were just as impressive, holding the Lancers to 36 percent shooting from the field and 21 percent shooting from the three-point line.
Kanye Raheem (Maplewood, Minn.) led the Hawks with 18 points and four rebounds. Saheed Sanusi (Nassau, Bahamas) added 17 points, while Emaniel Alexandre (Nassau, Bahamas) chipped in 15 points and 10 boards off the bench. Jared Lopez (Lincoln, Neb.) continued his dominant start to the season, adding 14 points and five rebounds. Evan Decker (Omaha, Neb.), Jaden Strachan (Nassau, Bahamas) and Will Forsythe (Hugo, Minn.) each had 13 points, respectively.
The Hawks shot 64 percent from the field and 50 percent from beyond the arc.
The Hawks hit the road for the first time this season, squaring off with Southeast Community College at 4 p.m. Saturday in Beatrice, Neb.
