Page tallies 1,000th-career point in win over Marshalltown
NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men’s basketball team snapped a six-game losing streak and Emmette Page (Crystal, Minn.) recorded his 1,000th-career point in a 75-48 ICCAC victory over Marshalltown Community College on Saturday at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.

The Hawks (12-13, 2-4 ICCAC) shot 58 percent from the field and 46 percent from the three-point line to hold-off the Tigers. Northeast allowed no more than 25 points in each half, while ultimately holding Marshalltown to just 31 percent shooting from the field.
Page led all scorers with 28 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. Daniel Akuei (Melbourne, Australia) added a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Asher Scavella (Nassau, Bahamas) pitched in 12 points in 19 minutes of action.
Northeast battles Highway 81-foe, Central Community College at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Raider Fieldhouse in Columbus, Neb.
