Wildcats shoot past Northeast
NORFOLK, Neb. – Despite taking a three-point lead at halftime, the Northeast Community College men’s basketball team scored only 22 points in the second half as North Dakota State College of Science toppled the Hawks, 85-61 on Wednesday at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.

The Hawks (8-6) forced 11 Wildcat turnovers, while only committing three in the first half. However, the second half was a different story. Northeast ultimately turned the ball over 11 times, while only shooting 29 percent from the field compared to 62 percent by NDSCS in the second half.
Asher Scavella (Nassau, Bahamas) tallied 14 points and eight rebounds, while Michael Anderson (Lincoln, Neb.) added 12 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field.
The Hawks shot 35 percent from the field and 73 percent from the charity stripe.
