MASON CITY, Iowa – The Northeast Community College baseball team wrapped up their regular season with a single game against North Iowa Area Community College Sunday in Mason City, Iowa. The Trojans topped the Hawks by a final score of 6-3 as the Hawks now move on to postseason play.
The Hawks (38-17, 18-15 ICCAC) struggled to get much offense going as they were held to just four hits on the afternoon. Northeast rallied in the eighth inning with two runs to cut the Trojans lead to just 4-3, but two more Trojans runs in the bottom of the eighth inning were enough to ice the game.

"We had a good year but now it really matters," Clapp said. "At this point, playing 55 games, we just have to play clean, smart baseball. Can't do anything now but leave it all on the field!"
