BURLINGTON, Iowa – The No. 18 Northeast Community College baseball team wrapped up their three-game series with Southeastern Community College Sunday. The Blackhawks took the game by a final score of 19-4 to complete a sweep of the Hawks.
The Hawks (36-15, 16-13 ICCAC) gave up 12 runs in the bottom of the first inning and faced a strong uphill climb for the remainder of the contest. Northeast was able to put all four of their runs on the board during the third inning, but the 17-4 deficit at that time in the game would prove to be too much to overcome. The Hawks will look to get back on track this week as they enter the final week of conference play.
