NORFOLK, Neb. – The No. 15 Northeast Community College baseball team hosted Indian Hills Community College Sunday for a doubleheader at Norfolk Veterans Memorial Baseball Field in Norfolk. The Warriors came out on top in both games as they claimed Game 1 by a final score of 14-2 and Game 2 by a final score of 7-5.
The Hawks (34-11, 14-9 ICCAC) scored two runs of their own in Game 1 and the Warriors only scored three runs outside of the third frame, but an 11-run third inning was too much to overcome for Northeast.
Game 2 saw the Hawks rebound nicely as they held a 3-1 advantage entering the fifth inning. Parker Dorrance (Arvada, Colo.) was the main contributor to that lead as his homer in the third gave the Hawks the early edge. Northeast would add runs in the sixth and seventh innings and entered the ninth tied with the Warriors at five each, but the Warriors added two runs in the ninth to sweep the day.

HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH
Head baseball coach Marcus Clapp's overall thoughts on the games and how to rebound from the performance:
"Today was disappointing from Game 1 on," Clapp said. "We have to do the little things better in all facets of the game. Offensively and defensively we just need to tighten things up for us to be successful going forward."
