NO. 12 NORTHEAST TAKE TWO FROM IOWA LAKES BEHIND FANTASTIC PITCHING
ESTHERVILLE, Iowa – The No. 12 Northeast Community College baseball team rolled into Estherville, Iowa for a three-game set with Iowa Lakes Community College looking to get back on track. The Hawks were able to take a step in the right direction as they downed the Lakers by a final score of 7-2 in Game 1 and 12-0 in Game 2.
ESTHERVILLE, Iowa – The No. 12 Northeast Community College baseball team rolled into Estherville, Iowa for a three-game set with Iowa Lakes Community College looking to get back on track. The Hawks were able to take a step in the right direction as they downed the Lakers by a final score of 7-2 in Game 1 and 12-0 in Game 2.
Preston Tenney (Parker, Colo.) was electric on the mound again for the Hawks as he took a no-hitter into the seventh inning of Game 1. Tenney relinquished two hits in the seventh frame but finished the day with seven strikeouts and only gave up one earned run. Parker Dorrance had a 3-for-4 day that included five RBIs and a grand slam in the seventh inning.
Gage Ingram (LaVista, Neb.) and Jackson Foster (Wichita, Kan.) were wonderful for the Hawks on the mound in Game 2 as they gave up three hits combined. Ingram started the contest and pitched seven innings without giving up a single earned run. Zane Zielinski (Chicago, Ill.), Connor Jeffers (Aubrey, Texas) and Houston Fogelstrom (Omaha, Neb.) all homered in the matchup as the Hawks cruised to their second victory of the day.

HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH
Head baseball coach Marcus Clapp's thoughts on Preston Tenney not being satisfied with his success and continuing to excel on the mound:
"Tenney just keeps working," Clapp said. "He continues to work on his craft and it continues to be rewarding for him in games."
Clapp's thoughts on Gage Ingram dominating on the mound in Game 2:
"Gage did a really good job of pounding the zone and it was really good to see him have success today," Clapp said.
What Clapp wants to see from his team to finish the series tomorrow:
"We need to be ready to close out the series and stay within," Clapp said.

The Hawks will battle with Iowa Lakes Community College for the series finale tomorrow. The game is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. Saturday in Estherville, Iowa.
