NORTHEAST PLACES SIX BASEBALL STUDENT-ATHLETES ON ALL-REGION TEAMS

NORFOLK, Neb. – Northeast Community College baseball student-athlete Oliver Ward (Mill Creek, Wash.) was named First Team All-Region, Brice Wallar (Papillion, Neb.) and Cade Grevengoed (West Des Moines, Iowa) were named Second Team All-Region and a trio of Hawks including Nick Vilims (Evergreen, Colo.) Nick Miszuk (Parker, Colo.) and Kale Jensen (Central City, Neb.) were named Honorable Mention All-Region, it was announced by Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Tuesday.

NORTHEAST NEBRASKA ALL-STAR BASKETBALL ROSTERS ANNOUNCED FOR 2024 GAMES

NORFOLK, Neb. – Northeast Community College is excited to again host some of the top high school players in the region at the 2024 Northeast Nebraska All-Star Basketball Games. The girls’ game will tip-off at 6 p.m. with the boys’ game following at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 31 at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for those K-12. Any child below kindergarten age will be admitted for free.

NORTHEAST MEN’S GOLFERS BURNS, SOLTVEDT AND BAUMCHEN NAMED TO ALL-REGION TEAMS

AMES, Iowa – Northeast Community College men’s golf student-athlete Gage Burns (Creighton, Neb.) was named Second Team All-Region while Gunther Soltvedt (Eagle, Colo.) and Tyler Baumchen (Topeka, Kan.) were named Honorable Mention All-Region, it was announced by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Monday.

NORTHEAST SEASON COMES TO A CLOSE IN TWO MATCHUPS AT REGION 11 TOURNAMENT IN FORT DODGE

FORT DODGE, Iowa – The Northeast Community College baseball team traveled to Fort Dodge, Iowa Thursday to begin the Region 11 Tournament. The Hawks fell to five seed Des Moines Area Community College by a final score of 10-2 in Game 1 of the tournament and dropped Game 3 of the event by a final score of 6-2 against six seed North Iowa Area Community College in 10 innings.

WATERLOO, Iowa – The Northeast Community College men’s golf team competed against the top teams in the region Monday and Tuesday as part of the North Plains District Championship in Waterloo, Iowa. The Hawks placed fifth in the event in what was their final tournament of the season.
