RedTails top Hawks on Wednesday

WATERLOO, Iowa – The Northeast Community College volleyball team hit the road on Wednesday and fell to Hawkeye Community College in an ICCAC match, 8-25, 26-24, 22-25 and 13-25 in Waterloo, Iowa.

Lauren Kavan (Cedar Bluffs, Neb.) led the Hawks (4-16, 2-3 ICCAC) with nine kills and 17 digs. Danielle Wadsworth (Wolbach, Neb.) added seven kills and 19 kills, while Rachel Ecklund (Overton, Neb.) had six kills and 15 digs. Edyn Sudbeck (Wynot, Neb.) tallied 27 assists and 16 digs. Elizabeth Christensen (Stanton, Neb.) pitched in 12 digs.

The Hawks compete in a triangular on Friday, taking on Bismarck State College at 3 p.m. and Central Community College at 5 p.m. Friday in Columbus, Neb.
