Weber and Hirsch help Hawks sweep Ellsworth
NORFOLK, Neb. – Payton Weber (Alliance, Neb.) and Carly Hirsch (Norfolk, Neb.) combined for 26 kills for the Northeast Community College volleyball team on Tuesday night. The Hawks (4-13, 3-12 ICCAC) powered over Ellsworth Community College in straight sets, 25-22, 25-22 and 25-22 at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.

The Hawks (4-13, 3-12 ICCAC) powered over Ellsworth Community College in straight sets, 25-22, 25-22 and 25-22 at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.
The Hawks got off on the right foot, tallying 17 kills compared to only four errors in the first set and went on to record 15 kills and 11 kills in the final two sets. Weber led the Hawks' attack with 14 kills and Hirsch added 12 kills respectively.
Jamie Bonifas (Blue Hill, Neb.) added 26 assists, 12 digs and seven kills. Alexis Kapales (Jonesboro, Ark.) chipped in 21 digs, while Elizabeth Christensen (Stanton, Neb.) had 10 digs.
The Hawks travel to square off with Southwestern Community College at 7 p.m. tomorrow in Creston, Iowa.
