Heppner and Sanger sweep weekly conference honors
NORFOLK, Neb. – Hannah Heppner (Stanton, Neb.) and Josie Sanger (Crofton, Neb.) led the Hawks to three wins over the weekend at the Lincoln Land Tournament in Springfield, Ill., and a win over Southwestern Community College on Wednesday.

For their efforts, they were named ICCAC DII Volleyball Offensive and ICCAC DII Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, respectively.
Heppner tallied 43 kills and nine blocks. On two separate occasions, she finished with a hitting percentage over .500. In all, she hit .447 in five matches, including games against No. 12 Moraine Valley and No. 1 Parkland.
Sanger was the court leader for the Hawks last week. The freshman had 83 digs, an average of 5.5 per set. Her best performance came against the toughest competition. Against Parkland, she posted 21 digs, while recording 18 digs and five assists against Moraine Valley. She is currently third in the ICCAC with 5.6 digs per set.
The Hawks host Iowa Central Community College at 7 p.m. Wednesday in a crucial ICCAC match at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.
