Northeast golf takes sixth in Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men’s golf team was back on the greens on Tuesday and Wednesday, competing in the Blue River Classic at the Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln, Neb.

Led by Matthew Kingston (Springfield, Neb.), the Hawks brought home a sixth-place finish, carding a 599 as a team. Kingston shot a two-day total 147 to finish in a tie for 11th-place.
Freshmen Jordan Hart (Omaha, Neb.) and Ty Heimes (Battle Creek, Neb.) both tied for 20th-place after carding a 150. John Lapour (Omaha, Neb.) carded a 152 for a tie in 29th-place and Grant Sell (Gothenburg, Neb.) tied for 36th-place with a 153.
Northeast is back on the course on Sept. 16 at the Midland Invitational at the Woodland Hills Golf Club in Eagle, Neb.
