HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head baseball coach Marcus Clapp on how the afternoon played out:
"I thought Gabe (Rodriguez) threw really well again," Clapp said. "I thought we played well, but we just had one tough inning and it cost us in Game 1. I didn't think that we did the little things well in Game 2 and it cost us some runs."
Clapp on a big weekend ahead:
"We have one series left in the regular season and it's at home so we will be ready to go!" Clapp said.
UP NEXT:
The Hawks will battle in one last regular-season series as they will welcome NJCAA Division I No. 13 Iowa Western Community College to town for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday at Norfolk Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk.
