NORFOLK, Neb. – The No. 8 Northeast Community College women's soccer team played their final match of the regular season Tuesday at home against Marshalltown Community College. The Hawks were winners in a huge way by a final score of 14-0.
The Hawks (16-2-1, 9-1 ICCAC) jumped on the Tigers fast and never let up. Just 12 minutes into the game Northeast was ahead 6-0 on the scoreboard. Aidyn Woodall (Castle Rock, Colo.) and Taryn O'Brien (Lakewood, Colo.) added to their stellar seasons as they both put four different balls into the back of the net in the contest.

HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head women's soccer coach Chad Miller on starting fast and keeping the pedal down today:
"We wanted to go right after it today and finish the regular season with meaning," Miller said. "I was excited with how we started off and happy that we kept the level of play up the whole game."
Miller on what his team is looking forward to as the playoffs begin:
"The girls are excited," Miller said. "Going into postseason is giving the girls a new purpose. We have to play the same teams for a third time, but their focus has changed and to them it feels new. I am excited to watch them."

It's playoff time and the Hawks are the number one seed. Northeast will take on an undetermined opponent at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Veteran's Memorial Field in Norfolk.
