Kulhanek paces Northeast past Midland JV
NORFOLK, Neb. – Macey Kulhanek (Howells, Neb.) tallied a career-high 29 points as the Northeast Community College women’s basketball team rolled past Midland University JV, 87-79 on Tuesday night at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.

Despite taking a 15-point lead into halftime, the Warriors flexed their offensive muscles, out-scoring the Hawks (19-2, 2-0 ICCAC) in the final two quarters. But, the Hawks shot 91 percent from the free-throw line to hold off the Warriors in the second half.
Emina Hadzihusejnovic (Mostar, Bosnia) added 19 points and nine rebounds, just shy of a double-double. Breanna Stouffer (David City, Neb.) added a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards.
The Hawks shot 43 percent from the field and 40 percent from beyond the arc.
The Hawks will look to keep their perfect 13-0 home-court record when they host Grand View University JV at 5 p.m. Friday in Norfolk.
