NO. 6 HAWKS MEN’S SOCCER DAZZLES IN SECOND HALF AGAINST NIACC
MASON CITY, Iowa – The No. 6 Northeast Community College men’s soccer team began playing teams for the second time Tuesday as they battled with North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City, Iowa. The Hawks were victorious in the duel by a final score of 4-0.

The Hawks (14-3, 4-1 ICCAC) and Trojans went to the halftime break both without goals, but Northeast was quick to change that in the second half. The three second-half goals ensured that the Hawks would pull of the season sweep against NIACC.

Head men's soccer coach Adam Potter on how the second half played out:
"Great response again in the second half from our boys today," Potter said. "Anytime you can go on the road and get three points it's huge."
Potter on the huge matchup looming next against Southeastern Community College:
"It's going to be a fun one," Potter said. "As a player these are the one's you live for. I'm hoping that we can get big community support from Northeast and Norfolk this Saturday. We need your support!"

The Hawks will battle Southeastern Community College in a game that very well could decide the conference at 1 p.m. Saturday at Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk.
