Northeast men snap three-game losing skid
NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men’s soccer team snapped a three-game losing streak on Friday, defeating Central Wyoming College 3-1 at the Norfolk Express Soccer Complex in Norfolk.

NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men's soccer team snapped a three-game losing streak on Friday, defeating Central Wyoming College 3-1 at the Norfolk Express Soccer Complex in Norfolk.
The Hawks (2-4) picked up an early goal in the sixth minute from Felipe Santos (Brasilia, Brazil) and another two minutes later from Jared Hammerlun (O'Neill, Neb.).
With four minutes to play, Breno Neves (Brasilia, Brazil) put the game out of reach for Central Wyoming hitting a laser to the back of the net off an assist from Guilherme.
Northeast out-shot Central Wyoming, 15-8. Jorge Trejo (Brighton, Colo.) had three saves in the net.
"This was the best game our men have put together," head coach Chad Miller said. "Their hard work in practice this past week really paid off and I am glad to see them earn a quality win. Our possession was good, and what really stood out was the hustle the guys gave. It was our best work yet."
The Hawks return to the pitch at 1 p.m. tomorrow against Northwest College at Memorial Field in Norfolk.
