Page named Second Team All-Region; Akuei earns Honorable Mention status
NORFOLK, Neb. – Emmette Page (Crystal, Minn.) was the go-to scoring threat for the Northeast Community College men’s basketball team this season. For his efforts, he was named to the Second Team All-Region XI team, while Daniel Akuei (Melbourne, Australia) was chosen as an Honorable Mention All-Region selection, it was announced by the ICCAC.

For his efforts, he was named to the Second Team All-Region XI team, while Daniel Akuei (Melbourne, Australia) was chosen as an Honorable Mention All-Region selection, it was announced by the ICCAC.
Page was the leading scorer in the ICCAC, averaging 17.6 points in conference play. Overall, he shot 49 percent from the field and 46 percent from the three-point line.
He also broke five records this season as a sophomore. He broke an 18-year-old record for most points scored in a career (1,098), most points scored in a single season (658), single-season scoring average (21.9), most free throws in a career (240) and most free throws in a season (170).
Akuei was second on the team in scoring, averaging 14.1 points per contest. He hit 47 percent of his shots from the field and 45 percent from three-point land. He also pulled down 7.2 rebounds per game and dished out 2.2 assists.
