BANDT NAMED HAWKS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Talia Bandt, a freshman on the softball team, has been named the Northeast Community College Athlete of the Week.

Talia Bandt, a freshman on the softball team, has been named the Northeast Community College Athlete of the Week, it was announced by the Northeast Athletic Department on Monday.

The Grand Island, Nebraska native went 8-for-18 with a .444 batting average last week that included seven RBI, a double, a triple and a home run.

Bandt is currently hitting .328 in 64 at-bats with a .516 slugging percentage.

Bandt and the Hawks will host Iowa Central Community College on Wednesday and will visit Hawkeye Community College on Saturday in Waterloo, Iowa and Des Moines Area Community College on Sunday in Boone, Iowa.
