OTTUMWA, Iowa – The Northeast Community College women's soccer team was in Ottumwa, Iowa Saturday for a non-conference matchup against NJCAA DI No. 9 Indian Hills Community College. The Hawks fell in the contest by a final score of 3-0.
Northeast (4-8-2, 3-1-1 ICCAC) had five shots on goal in the showdown compared to just six for the Warriors, but the Hawks weren't able to find the back of the net in the ballgame. Both programs teamed up in the match to wear purple in support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, collecting personal care items to donate to local organizations.
The Hawks will host Northwest Iowa Community College and North Iowa Area Community College at home this week as they currently sit in fourth place in the ICCAC standings with just a week remaining in the regular season.
