BOONE, Iowa – The No. 14 Northeast Community College volleyball team competed against an ICCAC foe Des Moines Area Community College Wednesday night in Boone, Iowa. The Bears topped the Hawks by a final score of 3-0 in the conference match.

Northeast (10-5, 2-1 ICCAC) struggled to get going offensively in the battle as DMACC kept the pressure on throughout the showdown. Shaylyn Safranek (Merna, Neb.) led the Hawks in kills with eight while Sydney Redden (Wayne, Neb.) was the leader for Northeast in digs with 14.

"We need to play together as a team and not individuals," Schultze said. "We have to play with more energy and communicate."
