NO. 14 HAWKS DOWN SPARTANS IN THREE SETS
CRESTON, Iowa – The No. 14 Northeast Community College volleyball team headed to Creston, Iowa Wednesday for a conference matchup with Southwestern Community College. The Hawks topped the Spartans by a final score of 3-0 in three sets to pull off another sweep.

Northeast (9-3, 2-0 ICCAC) found themselves ranked in the latest NJCAA DII Volleyball Rankings this week and were able to show that they deserve that ranking with a dominant performance. Freshman Alex Arenas (Wakefield, Neb.) led the squad with 13 kills in just three sets of play.

Head Volleyball Coach Amanda Schultze on coming back strong after a few days off:
"It was a good break for us all and the girls came back in the swing of things," Schultze said.
Schultze on two more games upcoming on Friday:
"We need to be ready to play a faster pace game on Friday and come ready to compete," Schultze said.
UP NEXT:
The Hawks will battle in two matches against Highland Community College and Central Community College at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Friday in Columbus, Nebraska.
