HAWKS VOLLEYBALL HAS BUSY WEEKEND ACROSS THE STATE OF NEBRASKA

COLUMBUS, Neb. & NORTH PLATTE, Neb. – The Northeast Community College volleyball team played in three different matches this weekend around the state of Nebraska. The Hawks fell to Central Community College by a final score of 3-0 in three sets, dropped their match to Otero Community College by a final score of 4-1 in four sets and won their showdown with North Platte Community College by a final score of 3-0 in three sets.

The Hawks (12-11, 1-4 ICCAC) played the Raiders Friday night before traveling to North Platte for the NPCC Triangular for the final two games. Kiara Krusemark (Wayne, Neb.) totaled 76 assists in the two contests played on Saturday.

HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:

Head volleyball coach Amanda Schultze on the three games this weekend:

"Our first two games this weekend we really struggled to put the ball away and play defense at the net," Schultze said. "We finally got back to our old selves and played like a team in our last game against North Platte."

Schultze on her message as her team enters the final stretch of the season:

"We have to focus on our game, trusting our teammates and working together," Schultze said.

UP NEXT:

Northeast will face an opponent that they defeated earlier this year as they will battle North Iowa Area Community College at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Mason City, Iowa.
