Hawks take care of Iowa Lakes in three sets

NORFOLK, Neb. – A strong defensive effort by the Northeast Community College volleyball team proved to be the difference on Wednesday night at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.
The Hawks (3-6) cruised past Iowa Lakes Community College, 25-8, 25-16 and 25-20 for their first ICCAC victory of the season.
Danielle Wadsworth (Wolbach, Neb.) led the Hawks' offensive attack with 11 kills. Brooke Bannister (Marquette, Neb.) added six kills on 10 attacks. She also added three ace-serves.
Edyn Sudbeck (Wynot, Neb.) had 29 assists, while Elizabeth Christensen (Stanton, Neb.) added 14 digs.
The Hawks welcome Highway 81 rival Central Community College for a non-conference match at 7 p.m. tomorrow in Norfolk.
