Hawks bounce No. 13 Kirkwood to stay perfect in ICCAC play

Set scores were: 22-25, 26-24, 25-15 and 25-16.
Despite dropping the first set, the Hawks (11-8, 4-0 ICCAC) found a way to get the job done to grab a share of first-place in the ICCAC DII volleyball standings.
Brianna Bauer (O'Neill, Neb.) stepped up in big ways for Northeast, recording 18 kills on 42 attempts for a .333 hitting percentage.
Caitlin Orton (Mills, Neb.) added 10 kills, while Jamie Bonifas (Blue Hill, Neb.) added 48 assists and 14 digs. Josie Sanger (Crofton, Neb.) notched 30 digs at the libero position.
The Hawks return to the court at 3 p.m. today against Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa.
