The two-year starter for the Mustangs was an Honorable Mention selection by the Omaha World-Herald, Lincoln Journal Star and Prep Dig Nebraska after recording 164 kills and 112 digs as a senior. She was also named East Husker Conference Third Team and Norfolk Daily News Class 'C' All-Area Third Team for her efforts on the court.
"Liz has a great work ethic and good character, she will fit right in with the group of girls we have returning," Northeast head coach Amanda Schultze said. "She grew up around the game and is knowledgeable as well as athletic in many positions on the court. We are excited to add her to the squad."
Christensen recently helped the Mustangs to a third-place finish at the state tournament last fall. She also holds the record for most ace-serves in a season with 72.
Christensen joins soon-to-be-sophomore Hannah Heppner, a former standout for the Mustangs, on the court next fall.
