BINGLEY’S HAT TRICK PROPELS NO. 16 HAWKS TO FIRST WIN OF SEASON SATURDAY
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The No. 16 Northeast Community College women’s soccer team traveled to Hot Springs, Arkansas Saturday for a contest against National Park College. The Hawks triumphed by a final score of 9-1 to secure their first victory of the season.
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The No. 16 Northeast Community College women's soccer team traveled to Hot Springs, Arkansas Saturday for a contest against National Park College. The Hawks triumphed in the match by a final score of 9-1 to secure their first victory of the season.
Northeast (1-2) fell in two tight contests to ranked squads last weekend and were able to finally get into the win column Saturday with goals from seven different players throughout the afternoon. Amelia Bingley (Melbourne, Australia) led the way with three goals of her own while freshmen Alyza Arroyo (Schuyler, Neb.), Jaisa Petty (Norfolk, Neb.) and Demitra McClure (Colorado Springs, Colo.) all scored the first goals of their careers with the Hawks.
Emma Brilleman (Diepenveen, Netherlands) found the back of the net in the matchup and also recorded an assist to bring her total to six points so far this year.

Head Women's Soccer Coach Chad Miller on what clicked in the victory:
"I liked our patience on offense and our urgency on defense," Miller said. "We have not been physical on the ball, and I was happy to see us willing to battle for the ball."
Miller on how he wants his team to continue to build on today's win:
"We did a better job at playing our system today over other games, and I hope that we can continue to develop that," Miller said. "I am hoping they can see the level they can reach when we all play the same system."
